Coming back to Montreal
We left our apartment at 8h30 AM and walked to the train station, where we had to wait for a train to Prat de Llobregat. From where we transferred to Rodalies line 2 North and to the airport. Air Transat flight departed from the old Terminal. All on the same tickets zone 4, so very affordable. We gave our luggage, and were told our flight would be a bit late.
After some shopping we had to cross another control to our terminal which wasn't air conditioned or very little. It is a charter flights terminal with only one snack but a couple of duty free stores.
We took off 1h30 minutes later. While waiting in the plane it was not air conditioned and it was pretty hot. The pilot had apologized as the fans were at the maximum. The meal was actually good. I was prepared for the worst, but it was better than our incoming flight. The flight only took 7h30 minutes, which was great. Families were separated on the flight and small kids sat separately from parents. Since they wouldn't pay extra for families of 5, it would have been too expensive. One of the movies was the same on this return flight. Really? No charger for phones or tablets.
Overall it was a good experience. If the price is low it is worth it especially the flights are direct.
I have just checked and they had truly good prices for next summer (this is August 21 2018), so I have purchased our flights for 777$ per person to Paris and out of Barcelona for June July 2019. Will see how it goes. Since our son has exams, we miss about all sales of airfares, but this seems to be a good deal if you have the money 10 months in advance.
